What information do we collect from you?
When you take out your Keycare policy, we collect your name, address, telephone number and date of birth. If you subsequently make a claim under your Keycare policy, we may need further information to process your claim.
Why do we collect this information?
We collect information to set up, administer and process claims under your Keycare policy.
What do we do with your information?
The Company is the data controller. It uses your information to administer your Keycare policy; to communicate with you for any purpose in relation to your policy by letter, telephone, fax, email or text message and, if applicable, communicate with the organisation which sold you the policy for any purpose in relation to the policy by letter, telephone, fax or email.
Who might we share your information with?
The Company may transfer your information to other persons in certain circumstances:
a) to the underwriter of your policy Ageas Insurance Limited (registered number 354568) whose registered office is at Ageas House, Hampshire Corporate Park, Templars Way, Eastleigh, Hampshire SO53 3YA;
b) to third parties where this is necessary or desirable for the legitimate business interests of the Company or as required by law;
c) to third parties (including locksmiths and key providers) where this is necessary or desirable to administer your policy.
Is my information used for marketing?
If you have bought your policy direct from the Company, it may use your information for marketing purposes where this is considered to be appropriate and you have given consent. Your information will not be transferred to third parties for marketing purposes.
If you have bought your policy through another organisation, either the above will apply or your information will not be used by the Company for marketing (depending on the organisation).
How long do we keep your information?
The Company will hold your information for the duration of your policy and for six years after it ends.
How can I access the information you hold about me?
Any questions you may have about data protection should be addressed to the Data Protection Officer at the registered office of the Company.
What about the website?
Anonymous information is collected, such as the number of visitors to the site in a given period, but it is purely statistical and cannot be used to identify an individual user. Cookies are not used to collect any information from visitors to the website.
