Keycare to support new fledgling business
In April, key insurer Keycare, marks its 40th anniversary. As part of the celebrations we are looking to inject up to £10,000 into a start-up business. We are mulling over our options to boost a fledgling firm to include a Dragons’ Den-style competition.
Keycare is now the UK’s leading expert in the key recovery and assistance market. Leading insurers and distributors such as the AA, Endsleigh and Direct Line choose us as their preferred key insurer.
We manage more than 1.8 million insurance policies and have our own 24-hour incident and locksmith call-out helpline based at our Shipley headquarters.
David Robertson, Keycare chief executive, said: “We’ve been hugely successful from humble beginnings and so it seems fitting that in honour of our late founder, and our 40th anniversary, that we look to give something back to the local business community.
“We have yet to decide how to structure the grant and awards process. We’ve been looking at various avenues to make this anniversary grant a reality. For example we have been in discussions with some local universities to see if we can run it as a joint initiative and there are other options too. A Dragons’ Den-style competition is another option.
“We are excited by the possibilities and look forward to announcing the details in the coming weeks as we approach our anniversary.”
Keycare support many charities
Meanwhile, at Keycare we support a range of good causes. This last year these have included Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Martin House Hospice in Boston Spa. Keycare also supports Simon On The Streets. They are an independent charity working across Leeds, Bradford and Huddersfield with those who have issues relating to sleeping rough.
